Back to School must haves for kids!
This September my son will be heading to pre school again a couple of days a week, so I am on the hunt for some unique items for his first day of school. Having 2 kids now I find myself mostly shopping on line instead of heading to the mall. It's so much easier!!! Chapters Indigo has some really cute things for back to school and they also have free shipping over $25! Here are some of my top picks:

Copacabana Brazilian Steakhouse
Last week my husband and I had a date night and decided to check out Copacabana Brazilian Steakhouse. They actually have 3 locations in Ontario- 2 in Toronto and 1 in Niagara Falls. We went to the one on Adelaide Street West in Toronto.
It was such a fun night. I have never been to a Brazilan Steakhouse before so I was pretty excited. Make sure you go on a night you are really hungry because it's an all you can eat restaurant.
Once you are seated you can order your drinks and then head over to the harvest table where you can enjoy freshly baked breads, pastas, salads, seafood and other hot dishes. When you are back at your seat then the action starts to happen. Gauchos or carvers will come around one by one and serve you a section of rodizio grilled meats at your table. They have over 20 cuts of meats to choose from. Most of the meats come medium rare but if you prefer another way you can just let them know and they will cook it to your liking. When they cut your meat, they provide you with these little tongs to assist your caver to put it on your plate.
Harvest Table
Harvest Table
Pricing isn't that bad considering it's an all you can eat restaurant. Sunday to Thursday it's $37 a person and Friday and Saturday it's $45. I would recommend going on the Friday or Saturday because it does have it's advantages. On top of the 20 meats they add shrimp, salmon and suckling pig to the menu. They also have Samba and Aerialist silk performers that perform at 7:15, 9:15 and 10:15pm and a DJ from 7pm to close.
Samba Performers
I would make a reservation for this restaurant, you can call or reserve your time online. They only have a 2 hour dining time from the time of your reservation so I wouldn't show up late. This restaurant isn't kid friendly so I would make it a date night like we did for sure.

Girls Night Out at Kelsey's & Milestones
Every month I like to pick one night to have a nice quiet night out with my girlfriends. I got an email a while back from Kelsey's offering a girls night out deal for only $20. So, the other night I went out with one of my friends to try it out!
The deal is 4 for $20. Here is what you get:
2 spiked snow kones
2 appetizers- you can choose from Mozzarella Bread, Four Cheese Spinach Dip, Loaded Potato Skins, Large Caesar salad, or Chips and Queso.
We went around 7:30pm and the restaurant was pretty busy. I saw about 4-5 tables of ladies which were there for the girls night out deal as well. We thought for sure the appetizers would be mini for the price but they weren't. They were regular size. For what you get for $10, I think it was so worth it. I will definitely be back.
Here is a picture I took so you get an idea on the size of the drinks and appetizers. We each got the same app which was the four cheese spinach dip and I got the snow kone (virgin) because I am nursing and my friend got a spiked one.
Milestones offers a girls night out deal as well. I haven't been as of yet but I will be checking it out next month. The deal is 4/4/40. Here is what you get:
4 Bellinis which is a frozen blend of white rum, peach liqueur, sparkling white wine, topped with boone's sangria. They are really good! I have had them before.
If you aren't into Bellinis you can get a pitcher of domestic beer instead.

The Sarah Richardson Collection for Hallmark Canada!
Yesterday, Hallmark announced a new collection by interior designer Sarah Richardson. It's called The Sarah Richardson Collection which features designs created exclusively for Hallmark Gold Crown stores across Canada . The collection includes greeting cards, note card sets, sheet wrap, gift bags, tissue paper and journals. Prices range from $1.99 to $29.99. Sarah's fans will also notice that two of her elegant design themes from her collection with Kravet fabrics have also carried over into the collection and are featured on two stationery box sets.
I am a huge fan of Sara Richardson! I watch all of her shows (Design Inc., Sarah's House, Sarah's Cottage and Sara 101). I think I have every show saved on my PVR. I love her style and fabric line so I can't wait to purchase some of the items from her collection.

Newborn Session with Melissa Yvonne Photography + Session Giveaway!!
Sorry I have been MIA the past few weeks. I had a good reason- I had a baby!! lol On June 5, 2014, I gave birth to a sweet baby girl. We named her Ashlynn.
For years I have dreamed about having a girl. I always found myself browsing the little girl section in a store when I should of been looking for clothing for my son. Let's face it- girls clothes are so much cuter than boys clothes. I am such a girly girl so I just loved all the cute dresses, shoes and bows that were out there for girls.
The day after I got home from the hospital I was already out shopping for clothes for her. I was so excited the night before that I couldn't sleep. I just wanted to get shopping! lol I also couldn't wait to get her newborn pictures done as well. I had a folder on my desktop for months with examples of cute shots I liked that I had found online.
When I started to look on line for a newborn photographer I came across Melissa Yvonne Photography. Looking at her newborn images, I just fell in love with her style. It was exactly my taste. You can tell just from the images the attention to detail she put into every photo. I was probably on her site for about 15 mins and already knew I wanted her to do Ashlynn's newborn pictures.
Here are some photos from our session:
Aren't they amazing??!!
Melissa is so sweet. She made me feel so comfortable when I was in her home. She took her time with the session and she never made it feel rushed at all. Ashlynn was a bit fussy and didn't want to sleep and I really started to stress out cause I didn't think we were going to get any good pictures. Melissa reassured me that we would and she was right, I love all of them.
This week I am giving away one of Melissa's mini sessions taking place on August 16. It's called 'World Adventure" which will have a hot air balloon set up. Session will be in Bowmanville and is 30 minutes in length. It includes 5 digital images and an 8 x 10 print. Value is $65
